Combi boilers provide hot water and central heating in one compact unit. There is no need for a separate hot water cylinder.

Regular boilers (sometimes referred to as traditional or conventional boilers) require a separate hot water cylinder for storage and use feed tanks in the loft as their water source.

A system boiler requires the installation of a separate hot water cylinder, to provide hot running water. Water for heating the property is supplied by the water mains.

A back boiler is situated behind the fireplace. They are no longer favoured and are replaced by one of the other types when they expire.

Biomass boilers burn a highly sustainable, carbon neutral and renewable fuel in the form of wood. It’s a renewable alternative to fossil fuels.
