As well as the boiler plan the company also has an advice section with product and heating advice, as well as several ‘How-to’ articles which include energy-saving and central heating tips.
The Worcester Bosch helpline is based in Worcester and is open seven days a week, 264 days of the year. The boiler plan is eligible for you if you have a boiler that is under 15 years old when you first take out the policy.

Boiler Cover
The policy offered is called the Worcester Maintenance and Support Plan. It is provided by Domestic & General and gives you cover for an annual service, repairs to the boiler and controls, and if necessary a boiler replacement.
All repairs are carried out by Worcester’s Gas Safe registered engineers.
The Worcester Maintenance and Support Plan includes:
- Annual service
- Repairs up to the value of £1,500
- Replacement boiler up to the value of £750 if your boiler can’t be repaired or is beyond economical repair
- Access to Domestic & Generals website portal with hints and tips on how to keep your boiler in good working order.
Your annual service should take about 30 minutes. The engineer should do the following:
- Make a visual check of the boiler to make sure there’s no damage
- Check the flame and make sure it is the right colour (blue)
- Have a look at the internal and external flue
- Make sure the operating pressure is correct
- Check the safety devices
- Make sure the case seals are still working effectively
- Check the main components are working, this includes the burner, the heat exchanger, the sensor probe and the main injector
- Clean any dirty or blocked boiler parts
- Make sure the boiler fires up correctly
When the service is completed you’ll be given a service report. If the engineer has found any faults they will be in the report. Your engineer will advise you what you need to do next.
